Privacy Policy
GroundCasinoReview Media Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through groundcasinoreview.co.uk. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you hold under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Our guiding principle
We collect as little as possible. You do not need an account to read anything here, we do not ask you to register, and we run no advertising network on this website. The only personal data we hold is what you deliberately send us.
What we collect
| Data | Why we hold it | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Name and email address submitted through the contact form | To read and answer your message | Legitimate interests — replying to an enquiry we were asked to answer |
| The content of your message | To handle the enquiry or correction you raised | Legitimate interests |
| Server log data: IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp | Security, fraud prevention and diagnosing faults | Legitimate interests — keeping the website available and secure |
| Aggregate measurement data | Understanding which reviews readers find useful | Consent — only if you press Accept on the cookie banner |
What we never do
- We never sell, rent or trade personal data.
- We never share your contact details with a gambling operator.
- We never use your data to target gambling advertising at you.
- We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has contacted us, write to contact@groundcasinoreview.co.uk and we will delete the record.
How long we keep it
Contact-form correspondence is kept for 12 months from your last message, then deleted. Server logs are retained for 90 days. Aggregate measurement data is retained for 13 months. Nothing is kept longer than the purpose requires.
Who processes data for us
Our website hosting and our business email are provided by third-party suppliers acting as processors under written contract, and both hold data within the UK or the European Economic Area. Processors may only act on our documented instructions. Where any transfer outside the UK is unavoidable it is protected by UK International Data Transfer Agreement clauses or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data where we have no overriding reason to keep it.
- Restriction — ask us to pause processing while a dispute is resolved.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable form.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where consent was the basis.
Exercising a right, and complaining
Write to contact@groundcasinoreview.co.uk. We respond within one month and we do not charge for a request. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it first.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Access to correspondence is limited to editorial staff who need it, on accounts protected by multi-factor authentication. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, so please do not send us financial details, account passwords or identity documents.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the revision date at the top of the page. Please check back periodically.

Before anything else, stay in control
Gambling is entertainment with a price attached — never a way to make money, clear a debt or recover a loss. Set a deposit limit before your first deposit, and stake only what you would be content to lose entirely.
